Abstract
This article discusses about new mercury emission limits that will be valid from 2021. Nowadays, problematics of mercury emission and the current value of mercury emissions from large combustion plants in the Czech Republic are unknown. Therefore, here are the forms of mercury, their formation during the coal combustion and the measures for mercury reduction. There is also a methodology for measurement of mercury emissions.
