Experimental measurement and analysis of frequency responses SFRA for rotating electrical machines

Abstract
The paper deals with the possibilities of measuring frequency responses using SFRA (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis) for rotating electrical machines. There are defined conditions and procedures for measuring the frequency responses, methods of measurement and analysis of measured frequency responses using cross correlation coefficients. In the paper are compared the results of frequency responses using SFRA between several types of rotating electrical machines (both AC and DC). On one of the investigated machines is analyzed internal winding fault. The fault is diagnosed and confirmed by measuring using SFRA method, winding resistance, capacitance, insulation resistance and the polarization index.
