Corona electrodes for electrostatic precipitators supplied with alternating voltage

Abstract
In this paper, various types of corona electrodes suitable for precipitators supplied with alternating voltage are described. For experiments spiral corona electrodes with different twist were designed. Thus the increase of corona electrode length is achieved at equal geometric dimensions of precipitator. Measurements of V-A characteristics were made together with separability measurement on the corona electrodes. Based on the results obtained from measurements it can be concluded that the proposed forms of corona electrodes are suitable for use in electrostatic precipitators supplied with alternating voltage.
